Educational Opportunities: Our meetings often feature informative speakers on topics that help to increase your knowledge of Charleston or that will enhance your skills and experience.

Networking: The ability to establish business relations among our members and other related professionals and organizations who’s common goal is to promote the hospitality/ tourism/guide industry.

Independent Excursions: Outside our normal meetings, these excursions are to sites in the Low Country area that support developing a greater knowledge of the history and culture of our city or of our industry. At times these outings can be used for recertification credit.

The Search: Visiting guests to Charleston, concierges and your fellow members are able to easily search for a specific tour, guide or venue.

Advocacy: Since its founding, CTA has been an advocate for our industry. We are on top of issues affecting our businesses and are there to work for winning solutions.

A Resource for your Charleston Guests: Our meeting are usually held at local restaurants, hotels/ B&B and venues. You can give your guests 1st hand recommendations on which places to stay, dine or visit.

Newsflash: Emails and our Face Book page share the latest information on issues trending that affect our industry. Lectures around town are posted so you up to date on educational opportunties.

Membership in the National and World Organizations: With your membership to CTA you are automatically part of NFTGA (National Federation of Tourist Guide Associations) and have access to WFTGA (World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations).
